Kaleidoscope Coaching for Leadership Program (KCLP)

KCLP combines group seminars with team and individual coaching sessions. Components include:

  1. Pre and post assessments to identify areas of needed focus and to measure change over the duration of the program.  The assessment instrument is chosen in consultation with the organizational leaders and is provided online for easy completion by individuals within the organization. Results are analyzed with the organizational leader and others as determined by the leader.
  2. Training seminars for service providers and organizational leaders to provide an understanding of coaching principles that include new ways of thinking about and using communication to strengthen leadership effectiveness.  This is offered on-site or by Teleclass and can include 1 or multiple sessions.
  3. Individual coaching for selected participants to provide support in observing one’s self in new ways so that beliefs that may be blocking the most effective leadership are challenged and the coachee is empowered to take powerful actions. This is usually done by phone in 45 minute to 1 hour sessions.
  4. Team coaching for leadership teams to enable these groups to observe their effectiveness from a new perspective that leads to enhanced communication and actions that allow realization of common goals.
  5. Consulting to provide problem solving support for organizational leaders to address relevant issues as they occur.  This can be done over the phone or on site.

 The Onsite Seminars

Overview:

Participants experience new possibilities to becoming more effective leaders through the study of ontological principles. Application of the principles enables participants to become different observers of self and others. Personal limitations that participants have applied to themselves and others disappear. Participants acquire skills of basic coaching principles for new ways of working with service providers… teachers… youth.

Design for Action:

Knowing I can only change myself in any relationship…

How could I observe situations differently?

How could I affect different moods within myself and others?

How can I ensure my requests and promises are clear and complete?

How can I effectively ensure trusting relationships at all levels?

How can I... (you fill in the blanks)?

The Coaching

Individual Coaching:

Using the results of the pre-assessment, the client and coach identify the concerns that begin the coach relationship.  Coaching sessions are scheduled two to four times per month and provide a safe, confidential space for leaders to expand their ability to observe their internal and external world, discover new possibilities for action, and coordinate powerful actions. When a person can observe something they are just tolerating… an issue or situation… a challenge…. from a different place… in a different way… the toleration can be transformed because possibilities for different actions appear. The post-assessment measures the effectiveness of the application of what was discovered in the coaching sessions.

Team Coaching:

Using the results of the pre-assessment, the coach works with one or more identified leadership teams to explore each group’s issues and their effective leadership within the organization. The team members expand their individual and collective ability to observe their internal and external world, discover new possibilities for action, and coordinate powerful new actions. Sessions are usually scheduled on-site and occur 3-4 times over the length of the contract with the organization. The post-assessment measures the effectiveness of the application of what was experienced and then applied from the coaching sessions.
